Electric Swedish Supergirl
No sexiness (Going for a badass adorable thing)
Gratuitious Swedish
Superstrength
Note: never play with electricity

Hal Bynstrom was in his parents’ basement doing  reps with a barbell. He was a handsome 19 year old Swedish boy who was naturally well built for his age. He heard a voice calling him, but ignored it. He wanted to finish his workout cycle.
The door opened and August his little sister popped her head through.
“Hal! Dinner is ready! Come on!” She was a cute, slender fifteen year old with blonde hair in a ponytail, big blue eyes and dressed in a sleeveless white shirt and jeans.
Again Hal ignored her partially because she was being bossy but mainly because he was wanted to complete his full 20 reps with his new max weight. He was slowing but he could juuust dooo…
August reached over and with one hand lifted his barbell out of his grasp.
One hand on her hip and the other holding 290lbs up like a packet of mints she repeated herself.
“Everyone is waiting for you. There’s a family meeting”
Feeling pretty annoyed Hal replied “Well why didn’t you say so?”
He father and mother were waiting at the kitchen table as he arrived.
His father gave him a look as Hal sat down.
“Everyone. I’ve called you here to talk about the family expenses”

August had been ten when her Grandmother had kidnapped her. Grandmother had been a genius at both Biophysics and subverting government resources. The government inspector had found out about her plans too late to stop her from suffusing August’s entire body with genetically-engineered cells.
Grandmother was in prison now.
It was assumed the cells had no effect on August. The doctors checked her out and didn’t find any serious problems. She was however a little sluggish.
She seemed physically weaker and spent a lot of time in bed. This caused her parents to worry a great deal. However a few months later on holiday on her uncle’s farm, she grabbed an electrical fencing wire used for holding in cattle. And just stood there holding on to the wire for several minutes. Eventually one of her cousins wrapped his coat around her waist and managed to pull her away from the wire.
They told her not to do that again but she said.
“But… It felt so good”

It quickly became clear that the electrical energy had done her a world of good.
Where before she had sat and watched T.V.  She now raced around the house tussling with her surprised cousins and climbing all over the trees and bales.
She sneaked off next morning to grab the electric fence for a few hours and that afternoon was even stronger and more energetic, throwing one of her older cousins to the ground in a small fight.
After going home she slowly started to lose her strength. Later her parents later found her jamming a spoon into an electrical outlet.
It quickly became clear that electricity was now a biological need for august.
For her going without it for more than a day was like withdrawing from a drug. With it she was extremely energetic and strong and got stronger the more electricity she drew in.
Eventually her parents decided to permit August to have a steady supply of electricity at night.
After putting her through a barrage of tests the government scientists provided a device that she could plug in and draw power off the main grid.
It was two armbands. Every night she put on her pyjamas and plugged it in and with anticipation slowly fitted them over her delicate wrists. As soon as she touched them she closed her eyes and smiled and slowly lay back on her double bed her arms out stretched. She calmly rested as the power rejuvenated her body and mind, flowing into her organs, nervous system and muscles.
August’s strength burgeoned steadily. This was particularly obvious as she often helped out at her father’s hardware store- Bastuspecialisten Ragnar Frunck.
One day she said “Dad I don’t have to watch the counter anymore. I can lift those boxes easily. See?”
And she lifted a big box of nails over her head.
Her father accepted this and she started carrying the smaller boxes of tools and paint and things. Then she carried the same size boxes as her father. Then she was easily lifting bags of cement her father and brother would have had to carry together. She pretty much took over any heavy jobs from her brother and father. Customers would be astonished to see a slight blonde school girl move past then in the aisle carrying a pallet of paving stones by herself.
At home she started to break things like door handles and the television remote and an iron poker( She tried a few times to bend it “like superman” and eventually succeeded then realised she had to bend it back at which point it snapped).
Her strength gave her greater balance, grace and stamina as well.
One day her brother found August watching T.V. while balanced on one hand.
She just held that pose with her legs straight up for hours eating chips and sucking alkaline batteries with her free hand.
August played tennis at her Gymnasieskola (school) and her smash went from feeble to terrific to life-threatening.
The Skoluniform (school uniform) was a white shirt, tie, navy jacket with grey trousers for the boys and with grey skirts for the girls.
When trying to squeeze past a burly ice hockey player in the corridor she accidently shoved him against a wall and broke his arm.
She realised she had to be more careful and gave up tennis until she could trust her self-control.
She told a friend in confidence about her new strength and unfortunately by the next week everyone in school knew about it.
Many people were scared and petty but her closest friends stood by her. Someone spread a rumour she was on steroids. There were some calls to the National Agency for Education asking that she be removed from school, but the school staff defended her and she was allowed to stay on.
However she also gained a few new admirers- a little club of males and females that loved the idea of a superstrong girl and followed her around and tried to get her to show off.

One day a girl went up to August.
“Oh August we were wondering if you would like to try arm-wrestling Erik. He’s really strong but I was saying you can beat him”
“Oh! Well… Ok. Ok.”
A few hours later, the girl asked August to go into a classroom where a huge red-haired boy and a small group were waiting.
The red-haired boy seemed confused.
He and August sat down on chairs across a table and the girl who was organising it, told them to arm-wrestle.
They grabbed each other hands in the usual position.
The red-haired boy’s thick arm dwarfed August slender pale arm.
The girl gave the signal to start.
August was nervous at first but then she realised he was already trying hard and she could only feel a light pressure.
He was starting to get a little red-faced.
The group of student were recording it on their camera phones.
She was so surprised she forgot to push his hand down and simply held it still while he tried in vain to move it.
Eventually she slowly and carefully pushed his hand down so as not to hurt him.
The group cheered.
He was competitive and asked to try again two more times.
Knowing that break was nearly over August simply pushed his hand down right away each time.
The group cheered again and rushed to congratulate and praise August.
She was shy and made excuses and left for her class.

At first August was shy but eventually she gained confidence and would sometimes lift the end of a car, smash a rock with her fist or lift some absurdly huge weight in the school gym.
She never worked out. She never felt the need to. She just plugged herself in every night, with the certain knowledge that she would wake up in the morning even stronger and healthier than she already was.
Mostly she was just a normal girl who would spend too much time on Facebook, go to concerts, talk to her girlfriends and crush on handsome boys. Sadly the fact that she was so strong often made boys nervous.

Sportlov week ("sports break") came by and everyone went skiing.
August loved Sportlov and she got very excited
It took her a while to get used to skiing with her strength but soon she was using her superior arms and co-ordination to power past all the older boys.
If she crashed her muscles and bones were too strong to be hurt in even the nastiest tumble.  That meant she was not afraid of going fast. Even if she hit a tree it would be the tree that would be broken. About twenty people got hurt that year on that ski that year but August had ten times more accidents than all of them and she didn’t even have a single bruise on her entire body.
Her brother Hal broke his leg on the second day and had to sit around the rest of the week while his sister won all the skiing medals.
Even the professional skiers learned to say no if she asked them “Want to come skiing?” because always if they went out with her they would be exhausted and lose to her every time in downhill and cross-country and also in snowboarding. This little girl in a pink jumpsuit would pass them out and, run all the way uphill and pass them out again.
She would use her super leg muscles to do super big ski- jumps and one time got the ski-lift working again with a sharp tug.

She did not use the ski-lift herself because she said that it was too slow and it was faster for her to run all the way up the mountain and she wouldn’t even be tired.
The electric bill for the ski lodge was very high that year.
August avoided snowball fights because she didn’t want to hurt anyone.
However when Erik Jonasson threw a snowball at little Ingrid Olander and gave her a nose bleed and made her cry, August got mad and threw a snowball the size of a reindeer’s head at him and he was knocked unconscious . Later she was very sorry about it and apologised to Erik.
August liked skiing but after Sportlov she shoved her rosettes in a drawer and went back to spending all of her free time at her friend’s houses talking and watching DVDs.

A little while later she had another appointment with the government scientists. August liked the scientists because they were always nice to her and talked to her a lot and also they would give her a super big dose of electricity from the big machines in their lab. They found out that August could now deadlift three tons.
Very impressive for someone with a ponytail and in a Justin Bieber top.

And then her father called a meeting.
“Everyone I’ve called you here to talk about the family expenses”
“As you all knew business has been a little slow lately and with all the *um* repair bills and the *um* electricity bill and I’d like to talk about making some cuts.”
August was obviously ashamed and said ”Oh Papa I am sorry I don’t need electricity. I can stop taking it”
Mr Bynstrom said “Now don’t be silly dear. I know how hard it is for you when you don’t get enough electricity. We’ll just make some cuts here and there”
“I can go fine on just a few hours papa and I’ll get a part- time job”
“Well very well you can try four hours a night, but you must tell me if it gets too hard ok?”

It was very hard for August.  She asked friends to let her plug herself into their mains for a few hours and her fan club set up a machine to make electricity off a bike but that was still too little. Eventually August would sneak into the Skrotupplag (Junkyard) to drain off old car batteries. Then one evening she was caught by Mr Jonasson who ran the junkyard.
Ashamed August explained about her condition and why she was going around grabbing old car batteries. Mr Jonasson was sceptical…so August simply lifted a car over her head. After that Mr. Jonasson gave August a job after school, ripping old cars apart for scrap with her bare hands. The pay wasn’t great but he got her all the old batteries he could find and let her plug in a few times a week.
Eventually the government agreed to pay the Bynstrom family electricity bill and August spent three days just soaking up the power.
Her strength continued to rise steadily and she gave up being driven to school as she could run there faster.
As she grew more confident she started doing jumps and soon her trip to her Gymnasieskola
involved:
stepping outside her front door,
walking to the pavement ,
starting to run,
accelerating,
accelerating,
accelerating,
leaping up onto the tops of the lampposts and hopping across the lampposts until she reached the end of the street ,
then leaping onto a bungalow,
then hopping from rooftop to rooftop until she jumped down onto the Motorväg  (motorway) where she would speed through all the truck and cars,
passing them and leap onto a factory wall, running along the top at full speed,
hopping off,
racing through the trees of a small wood,
leaping across a small  fjord,
jumping right over a small road, slide down the roof of a warehouse,
leaping ten feet straight up to the top of a wall,
grabbing it with one hand and vaulting over,
then zigzagging down a few streets and slowing down to a walking pace to greet her school friends. She would be completely fresh after this and not even slightly out of breath.

August did not know this but the government scientists had taken some of her blood and worked out a procedure that was supposed to give other people strength like August. They tried it out on three people, two men and one girl.

One night August was with some friends at a slumber party, when father of Silvie, the girl who was hosting the party came home drunk.
For some reason he seemed very angry with Silvie and started shouting at her.
Then he hit her.
August went up to him and with one hand pushed him away from his daughter.
The man shouted at August and took a swipe at her.
She stopped his arm with one hand and gave it a squeeze.
The man was confused as he found he couldn’t get her to release her grip.
As the pain increased he fell to the ground.
August released her grip on his hand.
August asked one of the girls to call the Polisen (Police) and stood over the man until they came for him.
August stared at him until the Polisen arrived and he didn’t dare move.

In the facility the procedure only worked for the girl. The scientists went to work on improving it and the girl asked for more electricity. Her name was Vilda. They did some tests that they couldn’t do with August because her parents wouldn’t have approved. Freda agreed because she was just as interested in her new power as the scientists

In school the student had started a thing where they would give a coin to August and ask her to stretch it with her hands.
She would pull it like taffy until it was a few inches long.
After the metal had cooled she would hand it back.
The stretched coin was taken as a kind of souvenir and some people would stop August in the street to ask her to do the same thing to one of their coins.

One Saturday the family went to visit relatives to the south and coming home their car stalled and grinded to a halt. Their father and Hal got out and lifted up the bonnet to look at the engine.
However they couldn’t get the engine started. August’s father was going to call to get a pickup truck when August offered to carry the car back. Saying this she got out and lifted up the side of the car slightly.
Her father protested. He didn’t want to make her carry the car twenty miles especially since it was loaded with all their luggage but August said she would be happy to try it.
A little uneasy her father and brother got back into the car with August’s mother.
Carefully she raised the car higher and got under it.
Crouching slightly she made sure the Volvo was balanced on her back and began a slow plodding walk towards town.
Eventually the family got used to the walking motion and started to read or use their phones.
An old man walking was dumbfounded to see the girl walk by with a Volvo on her back.
As she walked by he got out his camera phone and videoed the girl walking by.
When she got home she set the car down carefully in their driveway. Her hair and shirt were covered in grease and dirt, but she was quite proud of herself.

As the months passed, Vilda asked for more and more electricity. The scientists were uncertain because she was getting more and more aggressive and demanding larger and larger doses. One day she had knocked over a technician in an argument and broke several of his ribs.
They started to plan to cut off Vida’s electricity, but one day she broke in to the generator room and absorbed the biggest dose yet. Then she had casually smashed the wall and ran off into the countryside.

One day August had been challenged to Soccer by the local team.
She demonstrated that her strength enhanced not only her power but also her speed and grace.
She took the ball past half the team like they were standing still before launching a shot at goal that was like a cannon shot.
She did this nine more times before they conceded.

Vilda wandered around the country a bit. She robbed a bank, beat up some Polisen (police) and some members of the army.
She smashed some buildings and cars just to see if she could.
She set a truck across a Motorväg just to block the road and made a traffic jam. The government couldn’t think of a way to stop her. After several weeks Vilda made her way to the town where August lived.

It was late evening at the hardware store. The wind was blowing loudly outside and August was preparing to lock the front doors while her father and brother were tidying up the back.
A girl with dark hair, dressed in black carrying a rucksack walked up to the front door and stood there.
She seemed to want something so August reopened the door went out to her.
“You are August Bynstrom?” The girl asked with a bored expression
“Yes. Can I help you?”
“You don’t look like much. Hmm”
The girl hit August in the face sending her flying back through the glass doors. Before August could recover the girl strode inside, grabbed the back of her head and smashed her head into the floor a few times.
August wasn’t hurt but she was shocked and dazed.
“Disappointing” said Vilda.
She grabbed August by the neck and with a wide swing she threw August out through the window of the store and onto the street where August landed in the middle of the street in a pile of broken glass. People walking by stopped to stare.
Hal and his father came out from the back but all they could do was watch in shock.
August lifted herself up.
“You are like me. Who are you? What…?”
Casually Vilda grabbed a parked car by its end and swung it at August hitting her hard and sending the girl flying into a building.
Feeling the need to finish what she had started Vilda advanced towards the gaping hole in the side of the building where August had fallen through.
Worried about his sister Hal ran up and shouted at Vilda.
“You! Leave my sister alone”
Vilda glanced at Hal.
Suddenly an oven flew through the hole slamming Vilda right in the head and bouncing off.
August leapt out of the hole and went for Vilda.
August was bleeding from her nose and her white blouse and jeans were torn.
She had a determined expression.
She aimed a punch at Vilda’s head but Vilda blocked it.
Then August tried a high kick.
Vilda caught her leg and swung August over her head to slam her into the ground.
She then started slamming August back and forth repeatably.
August’s father ordered Hal to call the Polisen then he ran back to his store.
Vilda tossed August into the wall of a fast food restaurant.
Vilda waited but August didn’t come out.
Slowly Vilda walked towards the hole.
Then she stopped as August’s father walked up and approached Vilda with a determined expression and carrying a sledgehammer he had gotten from his store.
Vilda gave him a mocking look.
He took a swing at her chest.
She just stood there and took the blow like it was nothing and smiled an evil smile.
He tried a few more times aiming at her head and abdomen.
It just bounced off her iron hard body.
Then bored Vilda wrenched the hammer off August’s father and broke it over her knee.
She dropped the broken hammer and made as if to grab the man.
Suddenly she looked up just in time to see a car crash down upon her.

August had broken out the other side of the restaurant, picked up a parked car, climbed up to the roof carrying the car and then dropped it onto Vilda.
Vilda pushed the car off her.
August’s father backed off.
Vilda was enraged and using her bare hands to make handholds in the wall, started to climb up towards August.
When she was halfway up, August jumped down past her onto the street.
August ripped a chunk of pavement off the street.
Vilda let go off the wall and dropped down to the street where she narrowly dodged the thrown slab of concrete.
August continued to throw fragments of the street at Vilda.
There were several people on the street watching.
The sky was getting darker and the wind was blowing harder.
Vilda smashed the last thrown slab and looked for August but she was nowhere to be seen.
Then Vilda saw August move behind a petrol truck.
Then she saw August slowly lift the truck, obviously intending to throw it.
But Vilda ran over and in under the truck so she was face to face with August.
Vilda smiled and grabbed the truck.
Then she picked up the truck and lifted it with August holding onto it.
Then she threw the truck with August across the street.
There was a massive BANG and several cars were destroyed and a huge fireball erupted sending splashes of burning petrol all over the street.
Vilda watched with an amused expression as people ran in terror and the fire spread to other buildings.
A minute later August staggered out of the wreckage and made her way towards Vilda.
Thunder rumbled somewhere.
August picked up a piece of wreckage and tossed it towards Vilda.
Vilda caught it with one hand and tossed it back.
August barely dodged it.
Suddenly August started to run.
She ran to the side of the street and hopped onto a roof.
Casually Vilda jumped onto a roof and from there onto the same roof as August.
August desperately threw a roof tile at Vilda who didn’t even bother to block it.
It just bounced off her.
August leaped to another roof and Vilda jumped to the same roof.
August kept jumping from roof to roof and Vilda followed with a smug smile on her face.

Finally Vilda was getting bored and decided to put an end to the game.
However just then, August made one last leap to the top of the church tower.
Covered in bruises, August looked at Vilda and gave a little smile.
She grabbed the spire.
Suddenly Vilda could feel something.

Lightning struck the spire.
There was ear-shattering noise and a blinding light.
Vilda shielded her eyes.
When Vilda looked again the last crackles of electricity were disappearing into August.
“Oh skit.”(Swedish for… Well. You can guess) said Vilda.
August seemed to glow.
She let go of the steeple and fell down onto the roof Vilda was on.
She landed feet first and damaged a few tiles.
Vilda tried to run but there was a blur and August was in front of her.
August grabbed her arm and there was a crunching noise.
Vilda couldn’t break August’s grip no matter how she struggled.
August grabbed Vilda’s neck and smashed Vilda’s whole body down into the roof.
The whole building (It was a gym) collapsed.

When the last wall fell August regarded the girl she was holding by the neck and was annoyed to find she was already unconscious. She had being looking forward to taking her anger out on her.
She walked out the rubble, dragging the limp Vilda by her hair.
She stood in the street and watched as people gradually realised the fight was over and came out of hiding. Several fire engines arrived and the fire-fighters started to work on putting out the flames.

Then August saw her father. She dropped Vilda and ran over to him.
Just in time she realised it would probably be a bad idea to hug him.
August just stood in front of him and looked up at him and began to cry.
He hugged her.

The government made apologies and took Vilda away to be contained. This was easy as she had not yet regained consciousness.
A lot of damage had being done to the town, but repair work started right away.
August received an award in a fancy ceremony from the mayor. She wore a yellow dress.
August had to learn to control her new level of power. It had faded somewhat but she could still knock out a wall just brushing against it.Fortunately the government offered to pay for repairs to the house.
When she first leapt to school she had forgotten her new power and launched herself half a kilometre into the air and landed in a marsh outside of town. Her brother had gotten a new car. She rang him with her mobile and he picked her up.
He had given up weightlifting.
August was more popular than ever in school.
Her father and mother worried she might have being traumatised by the incident but she recovered quickly.
August decided that when she grew up she would get a job in the Polisen.
I've always liked this sort of thing.
Have no fear i'll be back to doing the most appalling filth next week.

That's a great Story you wrote there.
Will you (maybe) write a Sequel to this Story?
